Pro-life now involves rejecting Federal death panels that ration health care based on the person's economic value to society. The elderly and handicaped who have little economic value, are considered an economic liability and thus not worth spending health care dollars to prolong life. I reject that approach to health care delivery.

Eliminate corporate bribes doled out by NC Democrats to favored corporations. Reform our tax structure so NC has a business friendly environment and companies will relocate and expand here. I do not expect current NC businesses to be taxed so their competitors can get a bribe to come here and compete on an uneven playing field.
We need a small business tax category so our small businesses are not paying the top personal income tax. Small businesses create the majority of new jobs.
We need to establish a State Spending Priority with taxpayer input so EVERYONE knows what are the high and low priority spending categories instead of letting the Democrats dole out money to their cronies.

Yes e) Do you support increased spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No f) Do you support providing direct financial assistance to homeowners facing foreclosure?
We MUST create a business friendly environment (lower taxes, reduce silly regulations) so business will be attracted to NC and our existing tax paying businesses will be encouraged to expand. There are fewer JOBS in NC today than there were 10 years ago because of Democrat mismanagement of our state.
Yes a) Do you support national education standards?

So called "support" for green energy and green jobs should BE DETERMINED IN THE MARKET. Massachusetts is funding ocean wind farms and the cost of electricity from them is 4X coal fired electricity. The taxpayer is being taken for a ride! I will not do that in NC.
No a) Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
No b) Do you support requiring background checks on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows?
Yes c) Do you support allowing individuals to carry concealed guns?

Let families decide where they spend their money. Let the market decide insurance options. If you don't buy insurance it should NOT be my problem to pay your medical bill. You see, I DO NOT support socialism that advocates the "redistribution of wealth".

My pro-life position does not permit the killing of babies for a "so-called" greater good. Science is advancing so that your stem cells are mined to grow your replacement organs. We don't need to kill babies for stem cells.
1. Jobs 2. Jobs 3. Jobs Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton proved that lowering taxes increases revenue, creates jobs and grows the economy. News Flash! We CANNOT spend our way to prosperity. We need to cut taxes to create a business friendly environment that will create jobs. We need to cut taxes so families have more of their own money to spend to create jobs. The Democrats spent 95% of Jobs Development Investment Grants in our WEALTHIEST counties. I will grow jobs in our poorest counties.

Vote Smart does not permit the use of its name or programs in any campaign activity, including advertising, debates, and speeches.
